Abstract

The growing demand for effective urban mobility solutions at complex intersections calls for accurate assessment of the performance of costly interventions before they are implemented. Such evaluations can be efficiently conducted through simulation. This study presents an innovative multi-sources data fusion process to enhance the precision of mobility simulations. The objective is to ensure that our model can replicate real-world traffic dynamics, with a particular focus on the travel demand and the interactions between drivers and cyclists at intersections. We use these adjusted traffic data, in conjunction with SUMO for dynamic modeling, to establish a realistic simulation that will enable the evaluation of ITS solutions capable of meeting the new challenges of urban mobility.
